How we build a strong WordPress team

At Webnorth, we have a clear ambition.

We want to be the strongest WordPress-specialised agencies in Denmark.

That does not only require good projects. It requires the right people.

In our latest hiring process for a Senior WordPress Fullstack role, we received more than 600 applications. Three candidates are now part of the team.

That is not by coincidence.

Over time, we have built a structured recruitment process that we handle internally. The goal is to ensure both strong technical skills and the right fit with the team.

The process is simple in structure, but demanding in practice.

It starts with a short introductory conversation focused on expectations and alignment.

Then comes a technical test. A real WordPress task created by our own developers. We do not only evaluate the outcome, but also the approach, structure, and code quality.

Candidates who move forward review their solution together with our development team. Here, we assess collaboration, thinking, and fit with the existing team. Our developers play an active role and can decide not to move forward with a candidate.

The final step is a conversation with part of the management team, where expectations are aligned and a decision is made.

The result is a team with strong technical skills and mutual respect. Not because it is stated, but because everyone knows what it takes to be part of it.
