Working with high standards only works if the environment supports it

Before joining Webnorth, I struggled with work-life balance and the kind of pressure that slowly drains your energy and focus. Projects often felt like tasks to get through, rather than something you build together.

That changed when I joined Webnorth.

What stood out to me wasn’t just the technical level, but the environment around it. High standards are expected, but they are also supported. You are not left alone to figure things out, and you are not pushed at the cost of sustainability. That balance makes a real difference in how you approach your work.

As a senior full-stack developer, I focus on raising the bar across our projects. That includes introducing better practices in WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript, but also how we work together as a team. Open communication, shared responsibility, and a willingness to challenge solutions are just as important as the code itself.

Over the years, I’ve worked with agencies in different countries, so I’ve seen a range of approaches to development and team culture. The biggest difference is not the tools or the tech stack, but how people work together and what is expected from them. That is also why I think agency collaboration works best when there is trust, clear expectations, and room for professional input.

Outside of work, I spend time climbing and making videos. Climbing, in particular, has a clear overlap with development. It requires focus, patience, and the ability to solve problems step by step. You don’t rush through it. You stay with it until it works.

That same mindset applies to how I approach development.

At Webnorth, it works because the team shares that approach. We care about what we build, and we support each other in doing it properly. That combination makes it possible to maintain a high level without burning out in the process, also when working with long-term responsibility for solutions.
