WordPress Full Stack Senior Developer

We are a passionate and inspiring development team with offices in Denmark and Latvia, and we are looking for a dedicated Full Stack Senior Developer to join our skilled team. This is a full-time, fully remote role, offering you the opportunity to collaborate with a group of developers with many years of experience in developing software.

Our team meets every morning at 09:00 AM CET for a stand-up, where we share updates and the plan for our day. We are a tight connected team, with many of us having worked together for many years – it is really like a second family.

​​Backend:

• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience with WordPress.
• Proficiency in creating custom themes and plugins from scratch.
• Ability to develop advanced features without relying on third-party plugins.
• Very good knowledge of wp_query/meta_query.
• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and object-oriented approaches.
• Very good knowledge of WooCommerce.
• Experience in utilizing WordPress and WooCommerce hooks.
• Good knowledge of ACF and WPML. 
• Experience with WordPress Multisite setups.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms.
• Good understanding of cookies & sessions.
• Knowledge of data sanitization, escaping and validation practices.
• Adherence to WordPress Coding Standards (PHPCS).

Front-end:

• Very good knowledge of JavaScript (AJAX, Promises, Async / Await) and object-oriented approaches.
• Very good knowledge of HTML, and CSS (SCSS) – with a focus on producing semantic and maintainable code.
• Independence from frameworks as Boostrap or Tailwind.
• Ability to produce code up to the pixel-perfect standard from designs.
• Understanding of cookies, sessionStorage and localStorage.
• Has basic understanding of Web Accessibility.
• Keen aesthetic sense and attention to detail.
• Experience with implementing in-between-page transitions, animations and UI micro-interactions.

Nice to have (front-end):

• Knowledge of Swiper / GSAP / BarbaJS.
• Knowledge of Figma.
• Experience in Vue

“Soft” technical skills:

• Knowledge with module bundles such as Vite or Webpack.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and processes.
• Ability to use GIT within a team environment.
• Quick learner with ability to understand and follow documentation.
• Can research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies.
• Ability to write technical specifications.
• Ability to provide accurate project estimates.
• Experience in optimizing pages for loading speed, SEO, and usability.
• Proven ability to achieve high scores in Google PageSpeed ​​Insights.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager.

Soft skills:

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Can proactively take ownership of timelines and deliverables.
• Strong in spoken and written English – cooperation in English with foreign clients.
