Digital craftsmanship is built on nearly 100 years of family tradition
At Webnorth, we work with WordPress on a daily basis. We build solutions, take over complex installations, and ensure operations, performance, and quality for companies in Denmark and abroad.
But our approach is not accidental. It stems from a family history that has shaped the way we work.
Webnorth is owned by Simon Strande Rasmussen, and for generations his family has run craft-based businesses with a strong focus on quality and responsibility. The story begins in the early 1900s, when the plumbing company Th. & F. Rasmussen was founded in Ringsted.
A company built on good craftsmanship
Ferdinand Rasmussen purchased the property at Nørregade 21 in Ringsted in 1913, and from there the business grew into one of the largest in the area. The name Th. & F. Rasmussen came to stand for Thorvald and Ferdinand, and the company was known for its solid craftsmanship. Production ranged from milk churns to gutters, and the firm grew to around 23 employees with a turnover of more than DKK 10.5 million.
Several generations took over the business. Father passed it on to son, and the craft was carried forward with pride. But when one of the company’s leaders died suddenly in 1991, the situation became unmanageable, and the business had to be sold. The family-owned property and nearly 100 years of history were lost.
From physical workshop to digital
Even though the company no longer exists, its values live on. Those values are part of Webnorth today.
It is not the materials that define a craftsman, but the mindset. Instead of metal, pipes, and gutters, today we work with code, systems, and WordPress architecture. But the principles are the same:

responsibility toward clients and assignments
That is why we acquired the domain thfrasmussen.dk when the name became available. It now points to Webnorth as a respectful acknowledgment of where our approach to craftsmanship comes from.
Craftsmanship changes. Values do not.
Today, Simon Strande Rasmussen’s father runs a small plumbing company on Sejerø. It continues a long tradition of reliable, classic craftsmanship. Webnorth carries that tradition forward in a new form: digital craftsmanship.
WordPress is our tool. Code is our material.
But the values are the same as those of the generations before us.
